Building Envelope Institute 

Our Purpose:

To improve the design, inspection, analysis and investigation skills of construction professionals (consultants, inspectors, architects, engineers, and contractors) who work on Type V residential and commercial buildings.

Who We Are

The Building Envelope Institute is a privately owned education organization that develops and presents seminars for design, inspection, analysis and investigation of the building envelope (roofing, above and below grade waterproofing, and exterior walls) on Type 5 (four stories or less) residential and commercial buildings.

We also develop custom made seminars tailored to the needs of the client. 

Additional Information

We are not a membership related organization.  However, John D. Shepherd, the principal of the Building Envelope Institute is a long time member and supporter of RCI, Inc., (and currently serves RCI, Inc. on the Advocacy Committee), we do encourage attendees to our education seminars to get involved in RCI, Inc. via either a local RCI chapter or through the national organization.
